The course covers a detailed literature review of theoretical development in the domain of Operations Management. It builds from topics in industrial management to newer developments in Supply Chain Management. The coverage will include treatment of topics in Operations Strategy &Policy, Operations Control, Service Operations, Productivity & Technology. Specifics topics include Inventory control/JIT, PPC, Forecasting, Purchasing, Facility Location & Layout , Process design, Maintenance, Quality Management Services, SCM & Project Management. The three streams of literature namely modelling, empirical and inductive will be covered in the course.
